Amazcakes — Local services in Lake Township

So should I start by saying never order from here ever unless you just want a pretty cake. I never knew about this place until I picked an order up for an Uber Eats customer she’s been in business for 3 years but now I know why many haven’t heard of Amaze Cakes. Before ordering my cake I read the reviews most were good while one review had given the bakery 1 star based on the cake being hard and not done. When I first read this person review I was asking myself well how can a cake be hard and not done? Well let me tell you firsthand it is very possible. I ordered my daughter a 2 tier cake which was $150 the day of my daughters party I was so excited to see the cake because my mom picked it up overall it was decorated good except the fondant balls were poorly made but this was the least of my worries when I say I kid you not we tried to cut the cake the bottom layer was brick hard and the top layer was so dry but yet not done. The owner and the lady who actually did the baking was very confrontational. I would never treat customers the way they did. Accept whatever mistakes you made while baking the cake and learn from it because it was very unprofessional the way they reacted when I brought the cake back. If you’re only looking for a pretty cake go for it. If you’re looking for a good cake to actually eat I recommend you go elsewhere.

P.S. the peach cobbler would have been good if it wasn’t too sweet I felt like I was eating sugar after the second bite, the cupcakes were just ok but they can’t bake cakes listen to...

Upon entering no ONE, and I mean absolutely no one greets you, even if they see you. My mom, daughter and I entered the establishment, which by the way was clean and nicely decorated. However the young lady (from the looks of it she was either an older teen or in her young 20’s) looked us straight in the face and didn’t say one word. She turned and walked to the back.

We stood there for a solid 5mins looking at the items in the case trying to decide what to order as this was our first time there. A young man came from the back with extra items to stock, STILL no greeting. He put the items in the case and stood by the register and matter of factly said “ready to order?”

I shared that it was our first time and that I’d saw a TikTok which peaked my interest. He shared the specials and was somewhat cordial in answering my questions. We ordered 3 slices of cake (Carmel, strawberry crunch, and cookies & cream), 2 cupcakes (pineapple coconut & strawberry) and 1 Fruit Tray. My mom and daughters enjoyed their cakes. My cupcake was a bit dry. The grape, cheesecake and Carmel apple bowl was amazing and a must try! Towards the end of our ordering another young lady came from the back but was on the phone. She did acknowledge us with a slight head nod and smile.

The prices are reasonable and the cake slices are nice sizes. The customer service could stand A LOT of tightening up in my opinion, but hopefully they will...

Ordered from uber eats. Terrible waste of money. All the flavors taste artificial and leave a bitter taste. The buttercream is terrible. The cake for everything I Ordered is overly dense and heavy in texture. It's heavy, dry, and has a weird texture to it. It's so dry dense and heavy You can see the the fork marks . This is not fresh...its has to be old. I don't reccomend. I'm going to try and get my cash back from uber. One of the things I ordered is strawberry crunch cheese cake. It's not real cheesecake. They mixed frosting and cream cheese. This is terrible. The lemon cream cupcakes look like 10 day old cornbread crossed with Walmart cupcakes. Marianos bakery is better than this.

Edit: I wish I took a look at the reviews on here before I wasted money. Someone else said very similar things to what I said. not good.

Edit: in responsen to the owner. It was terrible. Once again the cake was thick, dry, and the icing had a bitter taste , more than likely from the coloring or obvious artificial flavoring that was added. I don't care about the other 90% you claim enjoy your offerings. Maybe there's inconsistency with your batches.it was nasty, bitter, tasted old , the texture was dense and dry at the same time , and the buttercream tasted like cheap chemical...
