We visited momorial day 2024. The pictures from previous visitors made the lakes waters look clear and beautiful. It was dingy looking. The water has receeded a lot leaving an unappealing gray bank. The picnic area had stagnant looking water with scum on the top and the grills were surrounded by weeds like no one has maintained the grounds in a while. We paid the $5 per adult fee, got to the picnic area and left as soon as we saw these unappealing signts. It was a really nice spot, we went out on the lake and rented a boat, brought an umbrella since you are in direct sunlight, and spent some time having dinner at their campsite. A fun place to hang out with family or friends, beautiful and peaceful. Nowhere on their website or waiver did it state there were size requirements for kayaks, so this was extremely frustrating and a complete waste of time.
