So beautiful store lots to see and explore. We came across aisle of bandanas and there were 3 signs and one on the end cap. Upon check out one of the bandanas was $1.49 vs others. 99 cents we explained the signs. She called over 2 cashiers and one manager and then another manager for 51 cents difference. My daughter 20 was mortified and says just pay it who cares there signs don't address price differences. I am like well don't advertise one price and demand we pay another. 3rd person says you can't charge sign price you have to honor price on inside of item. After back and forth for 10 seconds and kind of appalled took 4 people to say well signs don't mean anything really. I paid the $1.49. We walk out and kid is like mother you get slammed everyday at customer service desk why did you do that! I said it isnt the money it is the principle and moral of the signs and false advertisements she said market theater mother! Whatever I didn't scream and yell or throw a fit just stated matter facts about the signs and offered to go take a picture of the 4 signs she said no won't be necessary we have to charge the price tag inside the piece. Okay whatever change your signs and they said they would get with manager and corporate over this debate. I told my daughter if it is 50% less difference at the place she mentioned I'm like sure I can fix that for you, Hobby Lobby put up a fight over it and made the scene calling everyone around over 51 cents. Moral of story I probably shouldn't of paid it and just left period because there demeanor was we were liars and scamming them over 51 cents and which I...
Read moreThe store itself is great. The diversity of products and seasonal offerings make this a go-to store for both necessities and nick-knacks alike. The reason I'm only giving it four stars is not because of the store itself, but because of the PUF fee (Proeprty Use Fee) imposed by the land developer on every shopper. This fee (currently at .5%) is not a tax, but it is money that goes directly to the developer. The store gets none of it at all. You, as the shopper, must pay the developer for the privilege of shopping in their shopping center. I'm not an attorney, but as far as I can tell, this is perfectly legal. The more you spend, the more the developer makes. Not the store, the land developer. If you think that tip culture has gotten out of control, this is a whole other level of tipping. It makes me wonder how long it will be before we are paying to breathe. If it weren't for this fee, I would give Hobby Lobby five stars. But I can't. Although they don't benefit from the fee, they chose to occupy that space, knowing that the developer charged their customers for shopping there. In my opinion they should have chosen a different space to open a store in. It may have fit their business model in every other way, but this is not something that I can just excuse from them. The cost of things is high enough without having to tip the company that developed the land on every purchase we make. If the developer can't make enough profit by charging the stores rent, they need to be in...
Read moreI have so many good things to say! First of all... the place is spotless... I understand that it's pretty new, but wow! They keep it that way! Secondly... The sales floor is huge and loaded with beautiful and trendy ideas for the home and the creative. Thirdly... My favorite part of the adventure through every aisle (literally) was their very smart use of space! The organization and grouping of their product was not just simply by 'what the item is' or by its 'maker'. Their aisles are beautifully designed and placed or hung by theme, or color, or seasonal. The themed aisles are my favorite to browse... they make shopping fun and new! Fourthly... the employees were nothing but incredibly nice and helpful the entire time I was there! And I was there for a little over two hours! I met one particular employee named Lonnie while he was straightening shelves. I said to him as I was walking by, "I love this place!" And he said with a smile and without a thought, "I know, I do, too! Every day that I'm here I see something new that I like!" Then he asked if I needed help finding anything in particular (which I didn't), and I reached out and shook his hand in appreciation. What a wonderful employee... smiling and proud to be there! I couldn't possibly be any happier with my shopping experience in this beautiful Hobby Lobby full of color, ideas, incredible organization, and happy...
