Museum of the American West — Attraction in Lander

Really athentic native American and Western buildings and such here. Been a few years brought a friend who couldn't drive over to a Doctor's appointment. She use to Teach School here. Very authentic and historical. A great representation of days of the pioneers that settled the old west. A gem for Lander and largely manned by volunteers.

We were also able to attend the free performance of the native American dancers. It was very inspiring to witness this cultural performance. It was narrated and each was explained as it pertained to the particular dance. The audience wannabes dancers were encouraged to participate in a dance contest and several prizes were awarded. I participated in a wedding here, and the location is very "Lander-esque." The property was easy to navigate, and the venue allowed decorations and full access on the day-of the wedding for a DIY event. My reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because there were many little buildings and houses on the property, but the venue did not offer one to the bride to get ready in.
