What a wonderful museum. The pioneer and the heritage museum are now one. For about five bucks I spent 3 hours inside and outside. People are wonderful. Exhibits are fun and well displayed. Parked my RV and Toad okay. Nice bathrooms. A block up from the Safeway. Found out Sacagawea's grave was 16 mi away from the docent so after the museum I drove up there. Lewis and Clark are my heroes so that was also a thrill.

A must see! Our kids (ages from 4-18) loved every minute of it and learned a lot. Well worth the time to stop and check out the inside of every building. Kids loved seeing the old schoolhouse. Can be safely done with masks as most of it is outside walking short distances from little building to building. Don’t miss the walk to the teepees across the stream and bridges. Beautiful place to visit.

What a treat! By chance we discovered this really worth seeing museum in Lander. With a lot of love and dedication, authentic buildings out of this area have been brought together, preserved and are presented in a just wonderful garden landscape. Our passionate guide Barb (a volunteer) was the cherry on the cake on this sunny autumn afternoon. It´s a must see for all ages.

Really athentic native American and Western buildings and such here. Been a few years brought a friend who couldn't drive over to a Doctor's appointment. She use to Teach School here. Told me to come down and check out what they have. While she'd spend. An hour or more there I was in pressed we grew up in Thermopolis 80 Mile's north east of here. Each place like many I have seen give you a better insight into what the old west was like and it's evaluation. To what you see today s modern west. Take time for this tour don't rush though it it's worth it. I'm a Leavel 8 Google loacal...

Very authentic and historical. A great representation of days of the pioneers that settled the old west. A gem for Lander and largely manned by volunteers.

We were also able to attend the free performance of the native American dancers. It was very inspiring to witness this cultural performance. It was narrated and each was explained as it pertained to the particular dance. The audience wannabes dancers were encouraged to participate in a dance contest and several prizes were awarded. The final social dance was interactive and engaging. I highly...

I participated in a wedding here, and the location is very "Lander-esque." The property was easy to navigate, and the venue allowed decorations and full access on the day-of the wedding for a DIY event. My reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because there were many little buildings and houses on the property, but the venue did not offer one to the bride to get ready in. She had to pull up in a vehicle and hide before the service. If you are thinking of having a wedding here, I would negotiate...
