This is an example of a community coming together. This non profit ski area is the result of the owner of the hardware store combining his passion for cross country skiing with his community building skills to convince private landowners to share their land to create ski trails which support the local youth ski team. The local kids pay a tenth of what it would cost to be on what would normally be an elite sport. They sent several skiers to junior nationals in alaska this past week.
