I don’t know how other renters had it with this venue the Farm Bureau Expo, but I wish someone would have left an honest review before we decided to rent from this location so I am sharing our truthful experience here.

As a small Christian company, we were looking for a location to host one of our worship nights. However, it is unfortunate to report the venue team was less than helpful in several areas. The biggest issue we ran into is a noticeable lack of professionalism and lack of basic business knowledge from the staff. (Also note this venue has named their location using several different names to add further confusion.)

First I’ll cover the rooms themselves. The expo center rooms are mainly empty with a very loud AC unit in the main hall.

Not only is the unit large and loud, but it covers two large sides of the main rental space. We thought about turning off the AC units, but the room was already warm even with the AC on that we had to leave it on and accept the noise. The floors in the main hall are like concrete and tend to bounce sound around the room in funky ways. As for the exterior, the building itself is rather dark at night and tends to look closed unless you bring your own lights (which is very expensive).

As for my direct experience with them, the expo team we worked with has self reported they had worked at the location for years, and they mentioned in passing they were rather set on their abnormal business methods.

I got to view the rented space on my request to schedule a couple times which was nice, however, when I was on site I would ask the Event Manager Gayle basic event questions she would commonly defer to the GM. When I would talk to the GM he would defer me back to Gayle and it was sometimes hard to get a straight answer from either.

However, some of the biggest issues with experienced them are as follows: We had issues with them forgetting to send us the second bill and we had to request it directly, we had issues with them taking too much from our deposit and not providing a readable invoice as the one they provided redirected us to a malicious website, we had issues with their location hours not being posted on their website and Maps confusing our attendees. We even had issues with the only Expo employee who was on site during the event ask if he could leave early. I said he could if he needed to even though we needed him, but to have the one employee on site ask to leave during our event was further proof of their apathy towards us as renters. The expo center team was less than helpful in several key areas, and we will not be renting at this location...

I had a very nice experience by this being my first gun show. The people were all friendly with a laid back atmosphere and nobody really pushing too hard for sales at their individual tables. I'm definitely looking forward to my next time go round. I would highly recommend this for any first timer of gun shows or any gun enthusiasts who want to thoroughly enjoy part of the sites and sounds of exercising which their 2nd...

I was here for the Mistletoe Merchants Market Show. It was a great venue for the craft show. The bathrooms were big, clean, and well stocked. There was plenty of room to walk around the booths, choose your meals, and to sit down and eat. There was a hottie from the Sheriff's office walking around making his presence known. I didn't see any trouble while we were there, we felt very safe. There was plenty of...

Very cool place to visit. 1st time at this particular location and it was nicely put together. All the vendors were super nice and friendly. Reptile people are some of the coolest human beings you'll come across. I came for frozen rats and ended up staying 2 hours talking! My son loved it there fir we got ourselves a banana cinnamon Python!!

Beautiful facility with easy access from interstate. ATM machine in main hallway. Very clean and clean restrooms. Organized events usually bring in food vendors to set up in hallway. If no food vendors, then there is a snack machine. Each exhibit hall has its own restroom area and then there is a larger restroom area off the main hallway.

We went to Akiacon!!!! This beautiful building is perfect for just such as this!! Huge rooms where stages can be set up or vendor booths located!! Small rooms for panels or small group gatherings!! The restrooms were clean, always stocked, and easily accessible!! We enjoyed our visit immensely!!!
