The LCC worked with my family to create a Celebration of Life for my Mom. Although my Mom was not a member of the Congregation, they took us under their wing and supported us 100%. The interim minister, Pastor Pat, guided us beautifully through the entire process -- the musician, Kim, played beautifully (and learned a new song especially for the service) and the many volunteers (who managed parking, ushering, and handling all the food for the reception in their Social Hall) were all absolutely wonderful, giving people. Read moreI went with my younger brother Tye. He spoke of the history, the depth of generations who attend, and just the overall uplifting atmosphere. As always, the little brother was right. The sermon was not a "doom and gloom" as some churches have become famous for these days. It was more of a teaching; this is what the Bible says, this is what it means, so now let's look at applications of it in our own lives. All good stuff. The church sponsors a Boy Scout troop, classes throughout the month, and a Reverend and support staff who are nothing less than stellar.
