A beautiful drive in theater, but if your gonna go there make sure you have a mask. Unfortunately I had gone with some friends to see a marvelous rocky horror picture show. Not knowing that I had forgotten my mask in my car I had to walk in without a mask to get a snak now I had covered my face with my very thick button down flannel. I was hopping that they may provide masks inside. We'll this was not the case. I don't do well with social crowds or lots of people. Reason for bringing this to your attention is because rather than one of the staff coming over to me and politely asking me to leave since I had no mask. I was called out loud bring everyone's attention to me. This made me extremely uncomfortable and was not able to get food. The problem remains when I had finally gotten a mask they were closed and I was not able to get food at all. If there was ever a chance of me returning that is little to none. Only reason this is getting 3 stars is because I have been there before and enjoyed my time there, unfortunately the service was irresponsible and just done improper. Fare warning do not go if you are not 100% sure you don't have a mask if you do definitely go. And for Becky's Drive-in highly suggest having a propper demonstration on how to treat customers or how to not make a sceen over a very simple thing. I would much rather have been told to leave quietly then be called out in front of atleast 20 - 30 people. Do keep in mind never once was a sceen caused due too the irresponsibility if the staff there, it could have been someone a little less sane then me who could have absolutely lost it. Please please keep the understandings of your customers in mind or atleast provide some sort pf cheap...
Read moreBecky’s is my favorite place to be once it’s nice outside! My boyfriend and I are here around 10 times every season. I would never give them any less than 5 stars. The staff is amazing and friendly, will joke around with you while you’re waiting in line in your car, etc. The snack stand has a great variety, and they have fun special edition popcorn buckets and cups for all of the big movies, as well as refillable buckets and cups every year. They carry a wide array of movies, and through their social media, they try to get a pulse on what movies their patrons most want to see next. There’s always a lot going on here for people of all ages, and many special events throughout the year.
That being said, the public is getting more and more inconsiderate of others as time goes on. This is in no way the fault of the staff of Becky’s, but it’s almost getting hard to enjoy the movies a lot of times. Cars show up late, up to 20 minutes after the movie has started sometimes, shining their lights in your eyes and up on the screen. People go in and out of their cars all night, their lights all come on, sometimes it seems like they don’t know how to operate their own car to turn them off. There’s a rule about no running engines but it often goes ignored. Then people leave before the movie is over, or move from one lot to the other to see the second movie that the opposite screen is offering, even if the movie hasn’t finished yet. I wish there were some ways to curb some of this extremely distracting behavior, like not letting cars in anymore once the movie begins.
It’s still completely worth supporting this wonderful family business, and we’ll continue to be here as often...
Read moreA night to remember! Great venue that is family and pet friendly. Two screens. One is 80' x 50' and holds 450 cars. The other is 66' x 33' and holds 250 cars. Admission is $8 per adult for a double feature and $4 per child. Becky's has an active facebook page and an informative website. Website provides weekly screening information, chances to vote on upcoming movies, and informative tidbits for a visit (list of rules, lodging options, and FAQs). You can rent radios for a $1 from the projection booth (cool to sneak a peek at the projector!), and we were offered the chance to move to the other screen for the second feature if we wanted. The crowd was delightfully friendly and dog appreciative. You can stay in your car or set up in front of your car picnic-style. The Sleep Inn near Allentown offered some pet friendly lodgings an easy 35 minutes away. Consider patronizing the refreshment stand since Becky's makes its income on food rather than gate receipts. The food is basic fare with reasonable prices for the movies. No alcohol allowed. If you are from far away, this is a worthy overnight trip for a film fan especially. If you are a local or within a short drive, you are sure to have a pleasant, fun evening. Watch the weather. Watch the listings. Pack some bug spray (although options are available at the refreshment stands). And GO! My visit with my beloved owner was magical and...
