Totally worth the drive to check out this gem! The petrified Wood Park and museum is a must stop if you are anywhere near Lemmon, SD! I found this place on Google maps and am so glad I visited! Beautiful, local petrified wood turned into a lovely park with a rich history of the area! It totally expanded my understanding of the area! The museum is also a wonderful place to visit with so many artifacts depicting everyday life! I love it and my visit with Bill, who gave me some excellent recommendations of other great attractions to see while in town. I highly recommend stopping if you are in the area!
