This museum was an incredible step back in time. Emily was our guide and she knew her stuff. We learned many things during the tour. I was amazed to learn of the many origins of the sayings that we have heard over the years. We really enjoyed the fact that the things to see were not overwhelming so that we were able to learn a little with each location on the tour. Our guide was Emily B, who is very knowledgeable and clearly enjoys explaining how the inn functioned and the uses of the various implements that are on exhibit. Her knowledge spans from the origins of arcane English phrases to the fact a horse can stand on three legs, whereas an ox cannot (essential knowledge for a blacksmith). The guided tour was excellent. There are many artifacts on display, and everything is very well kept, clean and organized.
