A great hike for advanced beginner hikers wanting to step up and challenge themselves.
Hiked trail last day of Summer 2025. Had just rained early in the morning. A little muddy but not too bad. Got on trail around 11am on a Sunday morning, not a whole lot of people there just yet and got to enjoy the trail pretty much to ourselves. Towards the afternoon more people showed up and it got pretty popular. Plenty of street parking, but can fill up on busy days.
Took about an hour in and hour out but I was with a few inexperienced hikers. Lots of incline and decline to get a leg work out in. If it had been raining more for days before, the trail would have been pretty slick and some hills we would have been sliding. The trails are very wide and well maintained other then natural erosion that happens.
I do NOT suggest going past ledge to the actual “thumb” at the very end of trail. To help persevere and maintain trail and SAFETY. I do believe the public are being discouraged from going past ledge...

It felt like we went from a fairy forest to the Cliffs of Moher! Definitely would recommend bringing food and water for your elopement and take breaks, especially if you're not used to an fast elevation gain on a hike. Perfect elopement spot for...
