This location has a lot of beautiful shaded areas and open fields with tall grass that grows, If you're a photographer this is often a not so busy stop. Depending on the gaming season so definitely check the calendar for the ball fields. The wedding party we worked with asked for formal photos along the 1st row of shaded trees and bridges when you enter the park arc just around the corner the corner is the 1st parking lot/area. This park has many things to offer and is quite large compared to what you see at the entrance. You really have to take a drive around, and yes get out and walk to see what beauty this park has to offer. 🐕 Dog parents! The dog park is not attached to the side on 70th, so you will have to go on to 84th to access it. 🚲 Bike trail access, and is another cool bridge to take photos on, but it's still a walk from one of the last parking lots in the back before you have to turn back west to exit from the same path you came in at. 📸 photos are screen shots from when I was getting back in to photography (not as the graphic artist) in 2014, to recently taken with my partner in 2022!

Went out and back 9.92 mi 3 h 9 m. Trail was kept up pretty well. Lots of people out and about. I went east first to 112th st where the trail ended and went back west to 48th and Fremont. Another trail goes east from there. Lots to do at Mahoney Park, basketball, baseball, playground, and there are restrooms. Another beautiful day of hiking.

Love the walking trail that goes around the whole park. The tennis court, sand volleyball, and basket court are usually available too. It is a nice park to have a picnic at or just to play on the playground. Great open fields to fly a kite too.

I have lived in a few other updated apartments and loved it. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this CIP complex or possibly any. I feel they took advantage of me due to being a large company with no personal relationship. First I moved in and many damages were noted and turned in. I also had them clean the apartment again before moving in due to pet hair and debri everywhere. They told me they were doing me a favor by not charging me for another cleaning. As I moved out they not only not return my deposit, they charged me for “pet damages”. Apparently, stains on my carpet were noted where my furniture sat. They told me they were doing me a favor by not charging me 900 dollars for the carpet but a 450 dollar charge. The room was very small and had hardly any walking room so I’m very overwhelmed by these statements. If it’s not in the budget I would highly recommend another apartment complex or just don’t spill anything on your carpet. There were many other issues but I don’t want to write a book here. There a few other apartments around the area that are being built...

Mahoney is my peaceful place! It's where I go when I need to escape adulting for a while! I love to go just cruise through and take in all the beauty, music jamming, of course, and take pictures. It's my happy place. It's actually become my daughter-in- laws happy place also! Any time of year is beautiful, I've gotten gorgeous pictures there from every season. I'll try to post those sometime. My kids are grown now, so we don't use the playground equipment. But we've used the tennis and sand volleyball courts, loved it! It's dog friendly! There is a dog park. AND... they just added a new "workout" station on the east side of the park, i really like that! My adult kids and their friends and I have played soccer and Frisbee, just off somewhere in the trees, anywhere around the park!

I love waking the trail around the park. It also takes you to a bike trail that runs on the north side of the park that leads into Lincoln or east out of town. We've ridden our bikes thru Mahoney on a detour from the bike trail. It's just a peaceful...
