I would like to convey my thoughts on the new headquarters facility at Tyler State Park, which I find quite impressive.
However, I am concerned about the accessibility for RV campers. Despite the numerous state-of-the-art improvements, RVs are unable to use the drive-through check-in due to its narrow design. This necessitates RV campers to park and enter the facility, which is inconvenient, especially considering that RVs significantly contribute to the park's revenue. Furthermore, while cars can utilize the two air-conditioned, tented glass check-in points for a fee of $6 per person, RVs are excluded from this convenience. In my extensive experience visiting various state parks, Tyler State Park is unique in requiring RV campers to dismount for check-in.
Finally, I believe that some of the park's resources should be allocated to renovating the bathrooms and showers in the Lakeside portion...

The campsites are nice, have a fire ring that we cooked steaks on, lots of trees, and hiking trails around the lake. We took Mia, our lab all around the lake, 4.5 miles, walked up and down trails, crossed some bridges, over and under trees, walked across streams, and thru wetlands. They have lots of picnic tables scattered in the trees, a store, kayaks, paddleboats, swimming platform, great swim area, playground equipment, restrooms with showers, and even Cabins for those who don't have a tent or rv.
