I have always known and shopped Waldochs Garden center for the best plants and flowers but this is the first summer that my grandaughters ( 4 & 6) and I have experienced the Joyner Barnyard and it has been AMAZING!! There are sooo many things to do and climb on and slide down (Zoom Mountain) and play in and the trail ends in the Barnyard where you can feed the animals as well as pet the animals too . Today we took the tractor ride to the Sunflower Fields and that too was sooo fun. We had a great time wandering thru the sunflower walk with an antique tractor and a cultivator for the kids to climb on and the girls had a great time searching for the pink pig amongst the acres of sunflowers.!!! All of the staff (family)Are amazing with the kids- they are so friendly either waving from their tractors or stopping by to ask if they had saw the baby goats yet or baby chicks... before we first went I had thought The prices were a little high $10 each Or $37 for the season pass But believe me The season pass is so well worth it And the SunflowerTrail and the Pumpkin Festival in the fall are all included And as we passed the pumpkins growing in the field on the way toThe sunflower Trail and My Girls excitement at seeing the pumpkins growing I know we will be back at Pumpkin season too!! The Waldoch family are amazing stewards of...
Read moreWe (my husband, two tots, and infant) visited in October for a birthday and had a wonderful time. My kiddos especially enjoyed the corn pit, kiddie maze, and wooden train. They also had fun climbing up the wooden castle and bales of hay, along with exploring the kid-sized house. We fed the animals, rode the tractor-pulled wagon ride (super short, which was perfect with little kids), and got to see plenty of other farm animals cozied up in their homes. I love that we were able to get right up to the animals to touch them.
The corn maze had a couple exits depending on how big of a challenge you wanted. Even our toddlers had a fun time running around in the short version. We only got lost once, which is impressive considering we were more preoccupied with chasing our kids than keeping an eye on the path.
We were able to "pick" pumpkins that had already been moved into their shop. The pumpkins were already divided by size and price, which made it easy for us to direct our kids to the pumpkins they were allowed to choose from.
Waldoch was a wonderful experience for us, as a group at large and as an individual family unit. We had...
Read moreThe Joyer Adventure Farm is our favorite pumpkin patch experience in the TC area. Well worth the price of admission. We were there for 4 hours and maybe did 2/3 of everything there was to do and that was hustling. Best part is the staff. It's easy to feel like cattle at these places sometimes, but not here. Every person we came across was focused on making sure you were having a good time. There was always someone to ask for directions or clarification, but you weren't bugged by them either. We may need to go a second time this year. The food options were much better than expected. Sauerkraut dogs, mac and cheese dogs, chili dogs, tots, great curds, great hot cider, and funnel cake fries. They take cards at all the concessions and for things like the apple blaster (so fun). Our only regret is not getting the bucket of mini donuts and chickening out and just getting the bag. Best. Ever. So homemade. They put the state fair donuts to shame. We won't make that...
