The Tavern On Main — Restaurant in Lino Lakes

Ordered a door dash self pickup at 6:15pm and saw the app say 12:30pm pickup. Knew it wasn’t right so I called them at 6:40 and asked when I should be there. Whoever answered said my food would be done in 10 mins. I got there at 7, and the hostess told me to go to the bar...looked over to see 3 others waiting and the bar surround with people, the worker clearly somewhat busy. Stood there for 20 mins before asking the hostess (sitting on her phone doing nothing) to check on my food that I already paid for. She checked and said it would be done soon. Another 25 mins go by with all employees consistently walking by and seeing all of us standing there for at least 30 mins, and none of them stop to see where our food is. The hostess checked one more time and said she saw the ticket and didn’t know why it wasn’t being made. At 8pm, after standing for an hour, I finally asked for a refund which the manager said she couldn’t do because it was through the door dash app. I went to cancel the order on the app and it had actually been so long that the app closed the order thinking I had gotten my food. As I was walking out the manger said my food was done. Got home, and items were missing. Usually not one to get mad but I had a midterm to do, and I was quoted 10 mins, not an hour. Don’t waste my time and then ignore customers standing there for an hour. The manager was one of the people who had walked by us many times and never did or said anything. Even customers sitting for dine in asked us what we were waiting for! Good food, but probably...

The Tavern on Main has excellent food. Pretty much everything I've ever ordered from there had been fantastic. Their chicken wild rice soup is some of the best I've ever tasted. The only disappointing thing is the very first time I went there I ordered a brisket wrap. I don't remember exactly what it was called but it was so delicious. I almost ordered one to take home, but I figured my friends and I would be able to make it back there soon. It wasn't too long until we went there again and when we did I already knew what I wanted to order. So I just took a peek at the menu to see what they wrap was formally called again. In looked and looked and looked and saw no wrap. I asked the server who told me they took it off their menu. I asked if they were ever going to get it back on the menu. She informed me that there were no plans to ever put it back on the menu. I was completely crushed. I have never had nor still have not had any sandwich or wrap like that brisket wrap at Tavern on Main. My friend and I don't go quite as much as I think we would if that wrap was in the menu. Otherwise their other food is delicious as well. Their service is always extremely friendly and accommodating and are more than willing to go out of their way for you, making sure you get your food exactly like you want it prepared. Been here a handful of times as a delivery driver. Going into these establishments and telling an employee you have an order. Sometimes they take it as if you want specifically them to go grab it. The tall brunette (or dark redhead) lady I spoke to when there is an example of this. She had a dismissive and rude tone toward me in front of patrons. And even turned her head to where I couldn't hear other things she was saying.

I'm very polite to others and big on respect. And believe that even workers deserve it too as human beings. While not be taken advantage of by being treated a certain way just because they're on the job. But I also have my own issues to where I attempt to protect others from me. Yet I don't use it as an excuse to treat people a certain way.

The real MVP's there from my interactions are the bartenders. They're always awesome! So to the guy with the glasses working the bar, my apologies for the smug look I had. I was fighting a battle within myself to not react to how I was treated. Because I noticed women of a certain description react a certain way unprovoked . Just to run to the cops when things get real.

Also, I did leave a voicemail with my number as well to say this. But no one reached out, so here we are. Still gave it a 5 star overall to not impact...
