Lakeland Cultural Arts Community — Attraction in Littleton

For a community theater group, the folks at Lakeland Theatre Company put on stellar productions every season. What you will notice when attending their shows is that they really have fun getting their productions ready, and then they frequently perform like seasoned professionals. Each one of the actors and crew that I have encountered, from the school-age children of the area to the working adults to the retirees, all are here because they love theater and the joy that comes out of entertaining an audience. It's certainly worth checking out a production if you're in the Lake Gaston area, or in Hendersonville, Rocky Mount, or even Raleigh/Durham (like me). Fleming. From the moment I arrived to the moment I departed . The team of professionals definitely knew what it took to turn a somber occasion to a joyful moment. The place is very small, old and needs a lot of work. There were electrical problems so we were restricted from plugging things in. The sound system had a lot of feedback noise which made the output sound muffled and the doors automatically lock when they closed so someone has to stand guard at the door to let people in as they walked up. The staff was rude, they turned the heat down to 60° (on a 45° evening) and they watched our every move on cameras.
