I was very eager to go to this museum as I have heard great things as well as I have always been fascinated with Cryptozoology. Bigfoot, the Moth Man, etc. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by Stephan. As he does with everyone, he asked where we were from. I told him RMT but were staying at Medoc Mountain. He immediately gave us a state park map with the most recent sighting there in the last 6 months. I was very excited about that. Many of the spotting were very close to our campsite. We were initially the only ones there to begin with, so he was very engaging in discussing everything with in his store. He also does haunted tours and has his own REM pods (he calls pocket pods) and other technology for detecting and communicating with ghost. What was so impressive, well one thing, is the church pew siting in front of a HUGE flat screen TV on the wall. That is where you sit to see all the photos, videos, and things he has on his computer or on his social media. He mentioned the 2 videos of sightings recently, but we had already seen them. I mentioned my knowledge of the paranormal and he said I needed to go into the other room. The photos you see of the tarot cards, Ouija boards, and yes he has not one but TWO haunted dolls. He also has a center piece for the UFO sightings and aliens. ALSO,, If you have seen, been abducted or spoken with Aliens, PLEASE let him know. He is looking people for his event next year. Moving on......There was a Hay hanger that was on the floor I got weird vibes from. It had an email with it. I looked over it but did not read it all. I let Stephen tell me, which was more fascinating. It involved a family, suicide, father obsessed, you should really go see it. it will make your skin crawl. I can't say enough about Stephen and I hope to go back AND become...
Read moreMy wife and I were looking for an adventure, something a little different to do. We were pleasantly surprised when we found the Crytpozoology & Paranormal Museum in Littleton, NC.
The museum is located in an unassuming house located on a corner of the main street. (BTW, it's okay to park on the main street.) The museum is contained in the front two rooms of the house. While it may seem small, there's a lot of interesting artifacts to see - both Bigfoot and paranormal related.
The owner/curator, Stephen Barcelo, greets visitors as they enter the museum. You can tell he is very passionate about what he does. According to Stephen this isn't something he planned to start, just something that came his way. He takes his time to share his experiences, both through stories and videos.
The museum has plenty of artifacts related to Bigfoot (Sasquatch) and the paranormal throughout the two rooms and the main entrance. There is a little gift shop with the typical pins, t-shirts, magnets, etc. The museum also sells paranormal activity tracking/capturing kits in case you decide to go on a hunt and collect evidence.
The museum also offers haunted tours in the evening. My wife and I didn't go on a tour this time - we'll definitely be back to go in one if the tours.
Admission to the museum is free. They do accept donations. The haunted tours in the evening cost depending on the length of the tour.
Whether you believe in Bigfoot/paranormal or not, it's a fun place to visit. And it may just peak...

Unbeknownst to him, his home has links to the paranormal world and his realtor never checked the "Haunted House" box on the disclosure form. Apparitions, disappearing tools and mysterious black marbles plagued his home's refurbishing but when the likeness of a decreased workman appeared in a photo along with an unknown woman's visage, things got out of hand. friends, neighbors, even outright sceptics besieged him with haunted artifacts and some just downright creepy things that needed a home in his house, now also museum of cryptozoology that includes many pieces of evidence about BIGFOOT. The story it seems has come to Steve! Hailed by many as the top Crypto Zoologist in America, Steve has been cited and or interviewed on major news and information outlets. if you're anywhere near hwy 95 in N.C. put Littleton on your GPS.
