I grew up in Livermore but left before I was old enough to drink. I try to visit the different wineries when I come back home to visit. Bent Creek was my first stop. Such cute and charming winery! There is patio style outdoor seating available, both covered and uncovered. Parking was on a gravel lot. The wine and atmosphere was overall good. The staff members were all sweet!
For $10 per person, you will be able to taste 11 perfect pour samplers (2 whites, 6 reds and 3 ports). It’s worth it! On top of that, during your visit this fee can be applied to the purchase of any bottle.
Bent Creek is a small winery with a smaller tasting room. They have thick plain crackers for you to clean your palette between each tasting. They offer dove dark chocolate to pair with their ports. The wine is fairly intense in flavor and definitely took us all by surprise. Their Sauvignon Blanc & Chardonnay were incredibly enjoyable. Their Cabernet Franc, Zinfandel, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Red on Red on Red and Petit Syrah were good. I especially love all of their ports, Zinfandel Port, Petit Syrah Port & Vintage Port.
If you're visiting Livermore's wine country for the first time, Bent Creek Winery is a must. I would definitely join their wine club if I was still living in Livermore. They offered a case of 12 bottles of Cabernet Sauvignon for $144 for wine...

It is nice to visit a “mom and pop” winery where you get to talk to the owners as they pour you wine and take you on a guided tour of their winery’s wine making process.
There is a $10/ pp wine tasting fee which will get you to sample ALL of Bent Creek Winery’s wines and ports. Give yourself time to be here because for your $10 that will get 13 pours!
And on top of this, your $10 wine tasting fee can be used as a credit to whatever you purchase here, which the prices are very reasonable to purchase award winning wines & ports.
You can bring your own picnic and sit under the trees, umbrellas, covered patios or grassy lawns while sipping.
If you don’t have food, Bent Creek does provide crackers and water to cleanse your palette between pours.
The owners, retired from Lawerence Livermore Lab and Livermore school teachers, live on the property and are happy to chat as with their equally friendly staff about how they make their wines and ports.

Read moreWas at Bent Creek Winery yesterday and had a great experience. The moment we arrived we were given a glass of nice Chardonnay wine to taste and asked to choose a seating location we wanted.. We chose sitting outside beneath a large oak tree, among happy wine curious people, their well behaved dogs, bunnies, blue Jay's, humming birds and a large family of skiterring quail while tasting excellent wines and enjoying snacks. The wine and snacks just kept on coming. It was deliverd over and over to our table by friendly knowledge staff. Sue and a Cleo kept it coming. Don't miss the port tasting wi. th dark chocolate! May have...
