Pruett Farms Winery — Attraction in Livermore

I highly recommend to anyone looking for a great, relaxed, fun winery to visit, go to Pruett Farms.

I've been there a number of times and always enjoyed my time there. I'm not really a big chardonnay fan in general but I really like how he's done his. Subtle oak and buttery flavor, not overwhelming. And the Burgundian is one of my very favorites. He's redefining what Chardonnay is for California!

He has a large complement of red wines as well that are quite approachable and drinkable and can pair with anything from Tuesday spaghetti to Sunday steak BBQ. Or just to drink on a summer afternoon with friends.

Bob, himself, is the highlight of the visit! Always happy to discuss wine and winemaking and takes a personal interest in each of his guests. His attention to detail in winemaking is unparalleled and he's constantly striving to make the best wine for his customers!

What a pleasant visit, Bob and his staff are a treat and the wines are even better. His Chardonnays are fantastic, I had shyed away from Chardonnays for half a decade, Bob has worked magic with his style and his grapes, his Chardonnays are an absolute delight to have, if you're in the area, hell even out of the area you must go by and try Bob's selection of Chardonnays, and reds, oh and a surprise, a chillable red, his ports damn good too.
