Wood Family Vineyards — Attraction in Livermore

I first tasted Côte du Rhône style wine in France in the Rhône Valley when I was a student. When I moved to California I searched for that style of wine - I found it first in Salinas, CA at Marilyn Remark Winery. When that winery closed down and I moved to Livermore, I was of course searching for a similar style wine and couldn't find it anywhere except at WOOD Family Vineyards. Their wines are exceptional - they mellow with age or you can drink them right away - it's your choice. They produce a great variety of reds and even one white - their wine makers are hard-working and skilled. I walked in to wood family vineyard w my girlfriend because I have been here before and wanted her to experience really good wine … i immediately was greeted by a woman with such a kind, happy face she said her name is Maddy we sat at the bar, but thought that it would be more comfortable on the couch so she showed us where we should sit and started giving us a little bit of history of the wine makers.. not only did she keep us laughing she really explained the difference in all the wine and shared her experience when tasting all of them .. she was so personable , very professional and made our experience so enjoyable ..we loved it so much we became members yeeeeeeeeeeee… thank you Maddy for your knowledge and being so down to earth… you were...

I was able to come here in May with my mother and sister and family for mother’s day. Cannot put into words how wonderful the atmosphere and beautiful this winery is!! We enjoyed everyone and the tasting was so good! I recently came back on Saturday, August 27, 2022. I brought my other sister from out of town and she enjoyed it also. They had a food company outside, and it was Barbecue it was soooo good! Paired perfectly with the wine! This will definitely be my family’s place to come more often and relax and enjoy.
