It is a beautiful place to spend the entire day! The water is very clean and clear. A $5.00 charge to park for the day is very reasonable, but on a hot summer weekend, you have to get there early because it fills up quickly! There are nice restrooms in the parking lot, but a 5-10 minute walk from the swimming area! The gravel covered walkway to the swimming area is well maintained, but be careful of the tree roots on the right path and several railroad ties steps on the left pathway. The swimming area has no beach per se and can be difficult to navigate the steep hill and rocks for the elderly down to the water. There are a couple of picnic tables and grills if you are lucky enough to get one. Overall, the beauty of Dale Hollow Lake outweighs any of the negative and is our go-to place to chill on a...

This is the best walking trail, adventure we’ve taken since we moved up here. It is absolutely gorgeous. I feel really bad because it seems the park and facilities have fallen into disrepair. Someone needs to find a revamp of those place ASAP! The trails are overgrown, bathrooms were locked but you could tell they’d be nasty. There were a few abandoned buildings along the trail, and the suspension bridge needs some attention for sure. But, these things aside we absolutely loved it. Maybe some guard rails for the edge of the trails(some are a steep drop) and there’s some wash out of trails. The views are amazing, the air is fresh, the drive there is awesome. Definitely come check this out. And if you’re there, be sure to pick up some trash...

Super chill atmosphere nobody was getting loud or crazy perfect weather ! Sis & I Grew up roaming these parts and it was nice walking counter clockwise one way and then back around the other exploring both sides of it's of the peninsula, And that everything appeared to have been preserved pretty well and maintained over the years! You brought back awesome memories and definitely Some unique vibes in that space one could take advantage of. Everyone respected each other's space even though there were many different families and groups! Bathrooms weren't bad either. Hopefully people will start respecting the space more and not leaving such trash which is not a...

My wife and I went on a day trip as average adventurers do, and we decided Dale Hollow Dam would be fun. We got there and the dam road was closed, but we talked to an Army Corps of Engineers guy who told us about this place. I don't know much about the camping or overnight facilities, but it looks like a freaking awesome place for families and kids who like to swim. Plus, they have a cool bridge...and it's not a far walk (I made my wife do it). Lots of picnic areas with grills, swimming, boating, and exercise for the technologically hindered families these days. Go have fun!
