Lake covers portions of Kentucky and Tennessee area. Extremely beautiful ,always clean. Primitive camping requires reservations. I have spent more than 30 years on this lake and in my opinion is the most beautiful lake I have ever been on, anywhere. In my home state of Kentucky I rank Dale Hollow above even Lake Cumberland! More traffic on the Kentucky side, visitors tend to stay there. But as a local I know the Tennessee side offers calmer waters, more coves and less showboating and out of towners. 4th of July is spectacular. Never have to worry about floating debris such as logs damaging your toys,lol. Have ran speed boat, cuddy cabin and jet ski on these waters and also had a houseboat at Horse Creek for several years as well. Plenty of marinas on both sides.
