I really enjoyed my stay in Puerto Rico but taking the time to come to this area was not worth it. We had read on websites and in tour guide books about renting bikes and riding along here. We didn't end up renting bikes which I'm glad because so much of the boardwalk part of the path was missing so many boards and I would have never been comfortable cruising along. We walked a good section of this path despite what our conscious was telling us. It felt very isolated with a lot of run down spots along it. One of the only spots on the island I questioned our safety. Once we got out to the beach close to the road again we called for an uber. Never ate at any of the kiosks or anything....which I saw maybe 3 restaurants at the beginning but definitely not what I was expecting. So unfortunately, don't waste...
Read moreSo this beach is not for swimming and the area is a bit questionable. It’s definitely not for tourists. The beach is not maintained and there are no bathrooms or showers or beach chairs. He’s good for pictures and local food. Be very mindful coming here and do not bring a lot of belongings. All of the locals were staring at us.
