The Museum was mostly untended. Admittance listed as $7 but with no place to pay. No one to accept it. Very interesting and thorough exhibits and documentation of the history of the San Joaquin Valley and the building of Stockton. Several period buildings were locked so we could get into few of them and that was disappointing. A lot to see and read with some dramatic recorded messages as well. Very informative. I grew up in nearby Sacramento County and knew very little of what we saw. Worth a stop. Bring a picnic lunch as the surrounding park is lovely as well.

We traveled from Yuba City for a friendship gathering and we had an amazing time with the kiddos. We were not able to see the Japanese garden because it was reserved for a wedding day. We went to the playground (the big one) and went to the water pad afterwards and was so much fun. The park has a ln entry fee and there is plenty of parking spaces and shade. The park is beautiful and we will be back for sure someday.

Great ! Place to bring your kids to have fun. You pay for parking to get in which is $5 and $10 on holidays. During the summer they have the splash water area for the lilttle kids which is nice on a hot day. If you decide to go to the mickey grove zoo they have limited selection of animals. However is worth if you just want to take your kiddos to the zoo and have them enjoy a little adventure. They also have a some rides righr next to the zoo that your kids can enjoy. I dont know the prices but i dont thi k is much . The Japanese garden is free with ypur paid entrancw to the park. I love jappanese gardens. Pretty nice to take pictures and wall around. However they close early make sure u go there first if you want to see it . If ypu make it there before 2pm your fine . This seems like a nice area to have an event . Overall nice park i would reccomend this place if you are...

Nice place for kids to run around in some fountains and cool off on a hot day like today. However, there are no staff members from the park nearby at all and several kids, through no fault of their own, fell and were slightly injured. Which brings me to my second concern, safety. There is no one monitoring at all and some parents were definitely not supervising their kids. Some kids were acting in ways that put other kids' safety at risk. That is why I don't recommend this location unless more staffing...
