My first experience with the San Joaquin County Assessors office in Stockton was disappointing indeed. It operates like a big-city, left-wing, unionized bureaucracy. It seems like "Less is More" should be their motto, or better yet how about, "I already got your money, dude!!" I called and tried to get some help on a routine matter and was routed through an intricate telephonic labyrinth that took about ten minutes of my time and ended with a system disconnection. I guess all the money went to the build the Stockton Assessor's new office space because it didn't seem like there was any money left over for a proper staff....
Read moreLocated inside Micke Grove Park, I went here for a school Art event. I’ve been to Micke Grove a few times & never realized this museum was on the property. Our event was after hours & school sponsored so we didn’t pay to enter park or museum. Park & museum fees will apply. This is a really cute area that would be great for receptions, pictures. Minimal to no real information is available to public unless you become a member. It's amazing to have had the opportunity to go and learn about the rich history we have right here in San Joaquin Valley. The volunteer staff here were so friendly and helpful. They do such a great job at keeping everything here in pristine condition for the kids and everyone who wants to go check out and enjoy.
