This is a wonderful and well-kept place that our whole family enjoys visiting! My daughter absolutely loves feeding the ducks, and sometimes we even fish here — she’s always so excited! The park is always clean, and there are convenient waste bag stations for dogs, which makes walks even more pleasant. It’s a peaceful and cozy spot for spending time with kids.

Nice 1.2 mile trail. Mostly flat with the exception of a slight incline. Went there for a 5 mile run between Meridian and West Walton Park. It was a nice view and well kept path in the unpaved section of the trail.

Beautiful park!! I took my niece there to play and walk around the pond. Of course she wanted to feed the ducks so we purchased the food that’s offered at the park. It’s only $0.25 for some pebbles.

We've visited here many times but i think this last visit will be it for a while. We always stay outside so i can't tell you about the gym or anything, but i can tell you about outside. The lake, playground & such. There is very limited shade. The playground is not nearly enough for a lot of kids and its directly in the sun. Thats a downer for children like my grandson who is fair skinned and cannot stay in the sun very long. The lake needs some tlc. It was dirty and i only saw one duck/goose, there used to be alot more. You can fish but don't even try. My husband has tried to fish here many times with absolutely not even a bite. He believes there are no fish. He said it has too many turtles which will eat fish eggs & then they can't reproduce. and the turtles take all the bait. No one that has fished at the times we were there, ever caught a fish. other than walking there is nothing else to do. There are no restrooms for the outside visitors. There are only 2 picnic tables that i recall, & neither of those under a pavilion. There is a seating...

Meridian has been a staple in my life since I was teen. It hasn't changed much and I say that as a good thing. The gym there is great and cheap for those that are looking for that old school gym feel and not the pretentiousness of places like Planet Fitness.

However, the outdoor walking/running track is probably the best in Walton County hands down. Fishing is available and quite relaxing there, just don't be one of those people that clearly walks by the "No Fishing Beyond This Point" signs and completely disregards it. They're there for a reason, to protect both you and the wildlife.

If you have little ones there's plenty of space for them to play and a playground that's not too bad either, though can get crowded somewhat quickly if there's a lot of folks with kids there.

If you're looking for a park that's full of scenic nature you won't find it here (though they've recently added a woodland trail that's pretty decent) but it's a great park with a long paved trail and a great place to go...

I had a membership at this location in 2020. The 2 gyms they had and the park were in great condition and was one of my favorite spots to go. The only problem I had was that they didn't answer the phones half of the time and never had a consistent schedule for the gym. Some of the staff was friendly and some of them were rude. They closed the gym at 5PM, which is understandable, but sort of pointless for the average person who works until 5PM and wants to go after work. Because of this, I ended up just going out of my way to Felker Park where they were more flexible on hours. If you get a membership, you can use it at both locations,...
