We came to play the 9 hole disc golf course. UDiscs made it sound hazard free, it's not. #1 tee is inobvious, locals pointed it out for us. Thanks! The signs improve after #1. The canal comes into play on #2-4, especially #4 for RHBH. Some folks will just lie down in the middle of #2's fairway. A forecaddie can save your newcomer buddy's disc, but apparently folks lose discs here too regularly. Think forehand or anhyzer/turnover. It feels like playing a muni in golf with its manicured fairways. The designer utilized the trees well. #7 is a tough one for an intermediate to par. There is a 10th from the ramp down towards the basket on the other side of the canal. It's short (~200) but interesting, risk vs. reward. Overall, it's a fun, deceptively challenging course where par is an accomplishment, and birdie is...
Read moreMy dog and I really enjoy this park. I go there for walking only, but they do have disk golf, baseball fields, pickleball, and a gravel track. They also have restrooms by the baseball fields, but I don't know if they are open year round. It is next to a school, so it is just a nice little complex to walk around, especially for shorter walks or if you need a lot of shady areas, like my dog. I like parks that aren't too busy but have other people around. This is perfect for that, too. I also like watching the disk golf players, too. It looks like a fun sport. Overall, this is a nice place to check out and add to your...
Read moreWent here to play disc golf. The tees aren't well marked so we needed to ask some regulars to tell us where we were supposed to be going next a few times. The ditch makes it dangerous for discs. I went in the ditch twice, was only able to recover it once so lost a disc. I'm a Newby so it's expected, but I saw 3 other people throw their discs in the water while we were there and they clearly weren't new to disc golf or the course. It's tight around the water so be prepared to...
