Las Conchas Day Use Site — Attraction in Los Alamos

One of our favorite spots for a short walk/hike along a stream. It is not a strenuous hike, but it is pretty. I know that this leads up to another trail, but have not tried it. From what I hear, it is a pretty long and arduous hike and unless you reverse course, you would have to walk at least a mile on the road to get back to your car... The road with no shoulder....

No need to hike in Colorado when there is plenty of tough but incredibly beautiful trails here in the Jemez mtns. Fishing is not so good although there are plenty of great pools. Far too many people escaping the nearby cities but hopefully things will calm down when other areas and state parks open up....

This little piece of river almost looks like a fairy tale. Wear good hiking shoes as sometimes you will have to crawl over rocks and boulders to get deeper into the Canyon but it's really...
