Great open atmosphere for everyone. I saw security cameras but not sure if they were operational or functional. Just wished the bathrooms were cleaned everyday, since the 3 or 4 are public. The public facilities are outdated and without soap dispensaries, however, they do have a push button hand dryer. I had baby wipes on hand and usually carry personal hand sanitizer. There is an open space for playing catch with your pets and grounds enough to let dogs off the leash to run wild. Also, a trail for walking animals or kids. The main area with the big playground has a few picnic tables and a full size basketball court, while the smaller side across the street has fitness areas, more picnic tables, a bbq pit, and public drinking fountains. The fitness areas include workout equipment, such as the bicycle, pull up bars, and a few other machines scattered throughout the park to assist with routines, repetitions, and sets. Everything nailed to the ground basically is free, but just like the gym, not always clean. I took my own water but there are water fountains close by. Its open, airy, and spacious. The few times that I've been so far have been memorable and we look forward to going back with no issues. The playground consists of a 2-5 year area with a smaller slide and a set of swings toddlers can sit in. On the opposite side, there's an area for older kids with a set of swings the shape of a large carseat, and another set adjoining regular swings. My favorite was the zipline and a rock climb. Its big enough to take babies, kids, teenagers, and adults to have a nice day or night out, walk around, and enjoy the sights. The 10 Interstate freeway is just 2 minutes away so its a perfect location for a getaway or...
Read moreThis park covers two separate blocks. One area has an all access children's play ground. I don't get to see my Granddaughter much because she does not live locally. Hopefully, when the next lock down lifted I'll be able to take her. The other side of park is where I actually frequent. It has a few outdoor work out machines. I ride my bike to the location, do a jog use the weight bearing machines and bike back home. I remember the first time I had visited and worked out. I was sore for days. It's been said to best way to fight COVID is to exercise, eat right, drink plenty of fluids and have a positive outlook for the future. Stay lifted in these trying times. God...
Read moreI wouldn't normally write a review about a park, but parks are something I like to look up before going to, so I thought I'd give back. This has an accessible playground with sepearate big kid and toddler areas. There are lots of really cool features here, like rock climbing and drums. There is sand, which I'm not a huge fan of, but I've never seen anything in it. There's a full basketball court and lots of grass area also. It's never really dirty and doesn't usually have unhoused people there (I'm there almost weekly). There's often an ice cream truck parked nearby. There are also bathrooms, but I wouldn't call them clean by any standard. It's really a great...
