Bogdanovich Recreation Center — Attraction in Los Angeles

I am deeply disappointed by my recent experiences at Bogdanovich. I observed behavior that seemed discriminatory and unwelcoming, particularly toward certain individuals (Rosecrans Minor Volleyball ). This is completely unacceptable in a community facility meant to provide equal opportunities for everyone.

The staff's lack of action or acknowledgment of these issues:Reported to (Kimberly Weldon on the Pacific Board Region)has further eroded trust. Our interaction with her was very condescending and dismissive. As member of the board she should have foster inclusivity and diversity, not tolerate or perpetuate prejudice. I don’t feel as though our needs were met. Which seems to have reflected her own issues or biases.

I urge management to address this matter immediately by implementing proper training for staff and creating a welcoming environment for all. I hope significant steps will be taken to rectify these issues. My child along with others being call “Monkeys” by Bogdanovich team (After they had already won) is totally unacceptable. Our girls weren’t upset about the loss, so for the opposing team to bullying ours girls just shows Lack of sportsmanship and entitlement. I cannot recommend this...

This park has a little bit of everything to satisfy everyone’s basic outdoor needs. Awesome playground for the kiddos of all sizes and ages. Baseball and softball fields, a large soccer field on the lower half of the property and even a quiet little area to play bocci ball. Can’t forget the giant hill that has some awesome hiking trails. Growing up in the immediate area, and being a parent of two, I have used it for all of the listed amenities, and then some.
