LOVE LOVE LOVE this park. Everything is perfect! Very quiet and peaceful with lots of greens and shades. There is a waterfall where it beautifully falls into a pond that runs through the park. Just standing there and listening to the sound of the water slowly flowing and the birds chirping in the background....that's the best thing ever on a Sunday morning! We also spotted ducks, geese, and turtles along the trails we walked. The park is pretty big but they have the signs up throughout the park telling you where to go so you won't get lost. There are a lot of picnic settings inside the park and most of them are under the shades. There are some big open area in the back where you can see big palm trees, some blooming roses and some other nice plants and flowers. It also overlooks Port of Los Angeles from far too. We spent more than 2 hours here today and it was our first time. We really enjoyed the park and we do really appreciate that the people and the city have kept the park very clean and maintained its beauty. I will say...this is a hidden gem of San Pedro. I will definitely go back there again before this...
Read moreI love this park although I did not go there to enjoy the park rather I was trying to catch a little rabbit that was running through the streets nearby. Sadly I did not catch the little bunny and even asked a homeowner in the area to please assist me with catching the little thing however he was not very nice. He asked me what I intended to do with the rabbit and I explained that I have a small animal rescue and that I would bring the rabbit home and go online and post photos and see if I could find the owner. He gave me a very disinterested look and turned and walked away despite my pleas for assistance. This is most likely why I rescue animals and try to avoid most human beings. Hopefully the bunny won't get eaten by the other wild animals that are in the park it's such a beautiful park... And it was nice to see that even though it was late in the afternoon and the sun was getting ready to go down there were not a bunch of hoodlums hanging out. Sometimes this is a problem in San Pedro in the parks and it being a Saturday I was pleasantly surprised to see there was no...
