This is the perfect Sunday morning hike in the valley! I've been here many times and went today with a friend to get a fresh start to our day. This is a great beginner biker and is one that can be done by folks of all ages. The hardest part is the beginning, it starts out with steep incline that lasts for about 15 minutes, it's just enough to give you a nice burn then the rest is pretty much smooth sailing. The park is clean. You will see people running and biking but I've always walked the hike and can get in a nice workout that way.

There are several outlooks along the way, dog water stations and even benches if you'd like to get in some morning mediation with a nice view. The hike let's out in the residential area behind Fryman canyon, just keep left and you'll eventually make it out to Laurel Canyon where you can work your way back to the parking lot.

You can finish the hike in about an hour. This morning was a little busy but I was still able to find street parking. I highly recommend wearing a hat to protect your head since there isn't much shade on this hike.

I just love the peaceful hikes here, I'll...

The Fryman Canyon park is a very well maintained wide and easy to moderate jogging/hiking/walking/mountain biking path. It is popular and as a result the parking lot (free) may be full but the turnover is quick so it's worth waiting. Most neighborhood streets are not conducive to parking. The one thing I find odd is the long downhill through the neighborhood for the last 1/4 of the loop. It's a nice neighborhood but I was missing the woodsy terrain as a finale. Perhaps the better way to go is to reverse the trek and go up the hill through the streets to the other entrance and hike to summit near Tree People then exit through the park property. It's...

This is a great place to go if you're looking to get away from the loud and congested city. This used to be more of a hidden treasures however over the years it has become more and more crowded. Like most places weekends are the busiest and unless you have no other choice I would suggest staying away. Monday-Friday in the early to late morning is usually the least crowded time to visit. On hot days be sure to bring plenty of water, I see people here all the time...

Nice workout. Get there early. Parking is limited if you want to use the lot. Got there around 8 am. on a Sunday, with zero issues getting a space. I did a 4 mile loop, and it easily could have been long. Steep in some parts. Compared to a treadmill, I say maybe a 5/6 incline. Seen 2 coyotes at the start, not crowded maybe seen 10 people within 2 hours. Definitely recommend.

A good place to view LA and the Hollywood sign but the trail seems dangerous to walk on at night as there's literally no light there. The fact that there's no fence around the trail makes it very dangerous for families with running kids. Watch your kids running at the edge of the trail!
