Absolutely beautiful area. Green grass and trees. Peaceful forest and cute play ground. Went to the visitor center right around noon. Was able to get the Joan de Anza national historic trail passport stamp at the visitor center. The lady left for lunch right after but the center remained open. Toilet needs key. Did some geocaching with family afterwards.

We really love this park, especially the area near the old zoo. It’s the perfect spot to brew coffee over a campfire, grill some meat with friends, and simply enjoy a wonderful time together. The only downside is that in autumn there are lots of wasps, and my kids are quite afraid of them. But overall, it’s a truly great place

What really makes it special is the sense of community here — friendly owners, happy dogs, and a safe, welcoming atmosphere. Wide open green spaces give pups plenty of room to run, while shaded walking paths make it comfortable even on sunny days.

I really enjoyed it. The hike was long and exhausting but so worth it once you see the incredible life house and Puget sound view.

I like that in the summer they have a shuttle that will drive you to and from the light house for those that need it. We did the whole hike, but it was an option.

The scenery was beautiful. I did find the trail signs a little difficult to navigate but overall, a great experience. It was invigorating and refreshing to take this hike!

The views are incredible. I will say that the trail does get crowded but usually there is enough space in between. I highly recommend this and think that any person that enjoys the outdoors will enjoy discovery park. Get ready for a long,...

Most people aren't talking about the actual rangers station/auditorium at the park entrance. The ranger station is the "original " building from the old days. The visitor center has a little diorama set up that is cute if decade's old. There is a shaded picnic area with benches in the center. There used to he a soda machine there but they took it away. I'm not sure what the point of the auditorium is, I've been running through the park for years now and never seen it open or heard of it hosting any event. There is a bathroom in the room with the dioramas. I've never seen anyone come into or out of the ranger station and I don't believe anyone is in there...

Griffith Park is just absolutely magnificent! Get away from the craziness of the city and go and enjoy nature. What can I say, it's simply beautiful and there's so much to do, Shakespeare at the Park during the summer, the bird aviary, the L.A. Zoo, the Audrey museum..... just so much. Or just enjoy the trails, walk around, enjoy nature, everything about this Park is just breathtaking. If you go early, you can enjoy nature in its simplest, purest form. Whatever you do, just go.... any part of the Park has something...
