The marina has a large number of slips at this location. Dock carts, and restrooms with showers (prefab units with full plumbing, men's and women's, daily cleaning 7 days a week, and hot water that never runs out) are available, as well as a large paved, and uncrowded parking lot, and dumpsters for refuse and recyclables. There are storage lockers. The entrance to the slips is gated and key-controlled. Slips have dock boxes with power and water. No wi-fi or hazmat disposal, though.
Terry and Ramon are friendly, wonderful, and constantly helpful. They'll do anything they can to help out. They don't go crazy with rules or enforcement, but are active when needed to be to protect the community, keeping the environment great for families, retirees, live aboards, etc.
Active boaters will find a great place to spend weekends and explore the harbor and out to Catalina. Absentee owners can rest easy that the marina is watching and and protecting their boats. Ramon and Terry always have eyes on.
The facilities are constantly being upgraded. The last year has brought hundreds of feet of new dock, many new dock boxes, and water and electrical upgrades.
Follow Shore Rd until it ends. Holiday Harbor will be on the left. Take the forced right turn off of Shore Road onto the long, paved road/driveway. It becomes one lane around a turn, but keep following it. The road is paved the entire way. It leads directly to the gate for Island Yacht Anchorage #2, which is located at Berth 200X. Locals call this "Island Yacht Anchorage #2", although it is probably more formally known as "Island Yacht Anchorage, Berth 200X" This is the second location for Island Yacht Anchorage. The original location, which houses the convenience store and marina office, is located off of Anchorage Road at Berth 205D. This second location does not have a staffed office, but has slips, restrooms, waste disposal, parking, dock carts, lockers, etc. You will pass the original location, on the left hand side of Anchorage Road, along the way. It is near Eddie's Marine Service and Cerritos...
Read moreExcellent affordable marina that makes boating in Southern California possible for our family. Terry and Ramon are both very courteous, helpful and work hard to keep the marina well maintained and family friendly. Occasionally in the winter the runoff from the adjacent Dominguez Channel produces some waterborne litter and trash, but overall I would still rate this affordable marina...
