Los Liones Trail — Attraction in Los Angeles

I loved this trail. It's not extremely well marked, so I had to just guess a few times. The path is narrow - hard for two people to pass without one having to step to the side - and there is lots of lovely vegetation, flowers, trees, etc. You get nice views. There are some great lookout points. If you wanted to propose to your girlfriend it would be perfect. :) The climb is steep in places but it makes for a nice workout. Fantastic out and back trail. Offers breathtaking views after a very short hike and the views only get better as you continue upward. Recommend continuing from Los Leones around to Parker Mesa as you get somewhat different scenery on the hike there and the views at Parker Mesa are gorgeous.

The hike to Parker Mesa and back was 7.5 miles or so round trip and we did it in 3 and a half hours. Recommend planning for 4 if you will have frequent stops or spend more than 15 mins...

Beautiful hike, with extremely nice nature and ocean views. Free, unrestricted parking (except for nights). Though there's elevation gain, it's easy and not steep or slippery.

Heads up: We went on a Sunday at 9 AM (6/14/2020) and this place was extremely packed--maybe hundreds of people. The trail is narrow so you're constantly in close contact with people going up or down. During a pandemic, there's no way to social distance here...
