The Ebell of Los Angeles — Attraction in Los Angeles

My partner and I serendipitously came across The Ebell online when researching wedding venues in Los Angeles. I am an LA native and I knew for the longest time that I wanted to find a venue back home to celebrate our wedding. We fell in love with the venue through pictures and we scheduled a tour for April of 2023. When we walked into the space for the first time we fell in love with the space even more. The pictures did not properly capture the immense beauty of the venue. After the tour we had to wait a bit to book the venue (since we were booking very far in advance) but throughout that time the entire events team was responsive and coordinated with us throughout next steps.

After we booked the venue we were able to schedule subsequent visits to tour the space in order to plan how we wanted to use the venue for our wedding. Food and drink is done in house, and we were lucky to attend one of the food and drink tasting nights. We had so much fun trying out their different signature cocktails, appetizers, and entrees, all of which were very delicious. We were even able to work with the chef to address any dietary restrictions/allergies, as well as create one of the desserts that I loved eating when I was a child. Along with food and drink, there are many ways to customize the space, including linens, in house furniture, and lights.

As for the day of the wedding, everything was so beautiful and well executed. Simply being in the space and celebrating our wedding was a dream come true. Everyone loved the professionalism and friendliness of the staff. So many guests came up to us afterward to tell us how impressed they were with dinner service, and the bartenders. Everyone loved the food and drink, including the late night snack trays that were passed around well into the night.

I’m a professional corporate event planner and when I was looking for a venue for my wedding, booking the Ebell was the easiest choice we made. A few things that made this so simple: the space is beautiful, it was indoor and outdoor, catering and most equipment was in house (we did not have to rent many things), the staff was absolutely amazing, as an gay couple we felt incredibly comfortable and welcomed, and did I mention it is a beautiful space? It’s gorgeous. We walked inside, and it took our breath away. Sometimes you just have a feeling and you know it’s meant to be. That was us with the Ebell.

The venue is historic, grand, and truly one of a kind. It is located in a great, central area of Los Angeles so guests from out of town can experience the city. A private parking lot is included. And we were treated so well by every facet of the staff. Their in house team is incredible, event coordinators, catering, bartending, security, etc. Each team member made us feel special and helped make our wedding amazing. The venue itself is very turnkey from a planning perspective which made it ideal for us. We didn’t want to bring in all the furniture, build a kitchen, rent a parking lot, decorate every inch, etc. All those details are included and the space is so beautiful you don’t want to detract from that with too much decoration.

In short, the Ebell was the perfect location for our wedding, and if you’re looking for a venue that makes a statement, but also makes things easy, it will be the perfect location...

The Ebell was truly the most magical place for our dream wedding. Not only is it incredibly elegant, but the character and history inspired us and gave our guests a night to remember. So many of our guests told us (unprompted) that our wedding was the most incredible wedding they have ever been to. The events team was above and beyond from the start. We loved our experiences planning with them from day one! The space is absolutely stunning and special on its own - then picture it as a place to marry the love of your life, surrounded by those you love, with the support of an events team who wants to make it your most magical day ever. I still get chills thinking of it, and my husband and I had the most incredible and creative experience planning our wedding day (it was genuinely so fun to plan!!). The Ebell supported our creativity to make sure our wedding was a reflection of us and our love.
