Will go again / Food = Average / Price = Inexpensive / Service = Above average / Cleanliness = Average Ordered the jajangmyun aka black bean noodles priced around ~$11. Mixed feelings about this place as the jajangmyun does not seem to be their main staple, especially given the restaurant name of The ppong. Jjamppong or spicy seafood noodles seem to be THE dish to order...warning the spicy. But keep in mind, I am one of the rare Koreans who cannot handle spicy anywhere near the average level. I actually avoid it purposely. I would not recommend ordering the jjangmyun as it is only average...and I had many jajangmyuns in my lifetime... I am looking forward to ordering their jjamppong! I had some of the soup from my friends and WOW...it tastes delicious. That one might get an above average and the portion is quite large. However, I need to wait to order one before confirming. It is full of seafood and there is an actual crab in it! The tangsuyook or sweet and sour fried pork is also good. Slight above average and recommend to order. Although it seems the cooks know, make sure the sauce is on the side so the fried is not soggy. Parking lot might be limited depending when you visit. The interior is average in cleanliness.

The most enjoyable Korean food I've had in a while. After living in Seoul for 2 months, sometimes I forget how lucky we are that ktown exists and this place does too. Seafood Jjam Ppong: GETTTT This was the star of the show and omg the perfectly spicy and bright flavors will make your day and make you do the happy dance with every bite. Jajangmyeon (black bean noodles): GET! This was flavorered so well and the perfect amount of savory and creaminess. This is probably my favorite Korean dish and this place does it justice. Sweet and sour pork: Get I've had a lot of places recently and this place does it well. A good balance of sweet and sour where one doesn't overpower the other. It could use a touch more flavor though Ofc like any other LA spot, parking can be touch but there's a small lot in front Food: 9/10 Service: 7/10 Atmosphere: 6/10 Value: 6/10

Took a drive to K-Town on a Sunday for lunch and expected this place to be crowded. Reading other reviews that indicate a wait of over an hour since the capacity is only 20 people (8 tables). To my surprise no line and room for social distancing. I have big eyes and wanted to order everything on the menu. Instead opted for the seafood and brisket Jjam ppong and the Shrimp fried rice. Did not disappoint and my sinus was happy. The spice was just enough and not overwhelming. Noodles were done to perfection and abundant of mussels Manila clams crab legs octopus yummylicious. The brisket was cooked rare per my liking. The fried Rice was something that we ordered and ended up taking it to go - we had plenty of food. This is a keeper and wondering if we lucked out with the wait time. Will see next time. By the way show your vaccine card they are checking.

We ordered the jajjangmyeon and tangsuyuk when we came in. The tangsuyuk was good but we noticed the pork in the jajjangmyeon had a funky and sour taste to it so we called the waiter over. He went back to the kitchen to taste the pork and came out to tell us there was nothing wrong with it even though we insisted it tasted off in our dish. He stated again that nothing is wrong with it and walked away. This made us very uncomfortable as we did not want to keep eating the food and potentially get food poisoning. We had to call him over a second time and ask him to take the dish back and remove it from our bill. The least he could have done initially, was to apologize, take our bowl back, and offer to make us a fresh one. We have been here 3 times before and had no issues. Due to the poor service and lack of courtesy we experienced, they have lost our business. We will not be...
