I almost want to put 3 stars because I was not full and because of a weird service incident. I very much enjoyed the food. The problem was that there was way too little for the price. A plate of duck is $25 (duck slices or fresh duck strips). The spicy duck is $28, but the server recommended not getting it. If you don't care about how much you spend then yes yes go eat here, the food IS good. I could have eaten 3-4 plates to myself.
If you want the fried rice at the end, the server said we had to order at least 3 plates of duck. I don't know if it's 3 in general, or because we had a party of 4. So we got 3 plates thinking that for that price, it would be enough for us. It was not... but I think none of us wanted to shell out another $25 for another plate of meat. Though both the slices and the strips were good, I would recommend getting more of the strips because it seems like there is more. The duck slices shrivel up like brisket, and you will be HUNGRAYYY.
The salad is lightly dressed, and has a bit of a sour taste from vinegar. It was really good with the duck.
There are a few simple toppings: shredded radish, marinated onions, bean sprouts, leeks and I think cabbage.
My friend liked the leeks to be cooked so she would put them on the grill with some duck fat. The older korean lady server got mad and scoffed at us o_o she then proceeded to plate some duck on my salad and put the toppings on, saying this is how you do it. and scoffed again. Gosh lady, making it so awkward. The scoff and the condescending look was not necessary. What is this, Father's Office??
My friend still wanted her leeks to be cooked so she had to be sneaky and put them on the grill when the lady wasn't looking... ahhaha
Besides for that incident, we got very good service from the guy server who spoke english and was very helpful. And he didn't judge us for asking questions ahhah. So apparently you DO NOT need sesame oil or soy sauce for duck as it will be too strong for the duck. The duck is covered with its own fat so you don't need the oil. Even so, he was still nice about it and brought some sesame oil and soy sauce in case we still wanted it. We had no problems getting refills on any food or tea.
At the end of our meal he came to make the duck fat fried rice with the pool of duck fat and leftover toppings (except for the onions!) and brought us extra leeks to stir in. The duck fat fried rice was pretty good, but a little bland until I mixed in some hot sauce.
I THINK there is an extra charge for the fried rice. I didn't ask to confirm, but our total was about $3 more than expected. You have to have that rice!! There are no other carbs and you'll need something to fill that belly. I left with an OK satisfied feeling, but not full enough to be happy D:

So this is a pretty pricey place, it will be about 25 bucks per duck order. They have duck slices and duck spicy seasoning. The place is not that busy, so there's always parking in front of the restaurant. Once you pick your duck (I recommend the duck slices) the waitress will bring out the duck slices and throw it on the pan and start cooking. You really don't have to do much but grab the meat, eat, and enjoy. The waitress does the majority of the cooking. Mmm duck oil. Once the meat is cooking, you will see the meat bask in the glory of a pool of duck fat. Wait...there's more! So after you've finished all your meat, the waitress will bring out some rice to make some duck fat fried rice! I think the fried rice has to be the best part. She'll also throw in all the ban chan that you don't use into the fried rice. This is perfect to try but I personally think its pretty pricey for the amount of meat you get. But the duck meat is really high quality so its not too bad. You're paying more for quality than quantity. The duck meat wasn't as much but after you have the fried rice you are a full and...
ย ย ย Read moreSix of us came for a family dinner, but as some of us don't eat much we ordered for 5. Lady keeps telling us to order for 1-2 servings more. When we say we're good, she says well they're going to charge us for the fried rice (which is usually included in your meal). We actually come regularly and have ordered extra servings before. We just happen to not want to overfeed ourselves this time. You should not force your customers to order more than they want. It's not like we ordered an unreasonably small amount either. We tell her and she later apologizes and says they won't charge us for the rice. But when we get our check, they hand write our total. We calculate it and it doesn't make sense. When we say the total doesn't look right she says oh prices have increased but we ask for the itemized receipt. Turns out they charged us extra $15. That's straight out duplicity. No one should run any business this way. Won't be...
