We love this park for two reasons. First, the playground has quite a bit of natural shade, which can be a life saver with the harsh New Mexico sun. Second, this park has racquetball courts! How many parks have you been to that have free racquetball courts? Racquetball is a cost inhibitive sport, since you usually have to have a membership to one of the nicer gyms. There are two courts, both with four cement walls and a partial ceiling in the front. Chicken wire is used for the rest of the ceiling to let the sunshine in, but keep the ball from flying into the parking lot. Read moreOn July 25th 2021 this park hosted the annual LAVENDER IN THE VILLAGE. Live Jazz, food, drinks and almost all of the vendors there incorporated LAVENDER in some form.
