I was disappointed on our second visit. They ran out of filet mignon on a Friday night and offered us a NY strip instead. Unfortunately, we had to send it back because it was not tasty and hard to chew. It was my husband's birthday and I did inform them ahead of time but nothing special was done for him. Beautiful place, good service, but non-existent vegetarian options, other than pizza, salad, and desert (same ones repeatedly). Until the chef starts doing homework and figures out how to create a variety of veggie entrées, I feel like my year-long 1629 membership is a waste (other than helping to support a local winery). Really, they should up their game with the menus, and then we'd have a gem to be treasured. Beautiful and relaxing atmosphere with good wine, however the food at the 629 restaurant was bland and downright horrible. My shrimp cocktail was dried out and tasteless and I ordered bree with gluten-free crackers instead of the regular bread it comes with. The gluten-free crackers were stale and the bree was just a lump of cheese in a bowl. My husband's pizza was on the small side and the food was over priced.
