Sidney D Torres Memorial Park — Attraction in Louisiana

Went to this park as a child they had a little Mary Go Round that you had 2 run and had a run-in push, one big huge slide, one small slide in about eight swings. Mind you this was when I was a child over 40 years ago. And now it is so beautiful they have plenty equipment a nice padded area for the children to play it's gated and see you ain't got to worry about your child going out the gate so long as the adult that comes in last locks it, it's a beautiful Park love walking it I love feeding the Ducks you can now rent paddle boats there they have a Snack Shack in the back. this park is one of the best greatest Parks I've been to. the only thing missing is a splash pad other than that I love this park I will drive from Mississippi all the way there to bring bread for the Ducks and to let my grandbabies play there they love it sit there for hours with them while they...

Very nice, well groomed and security camera. If it works. I would have given five stars however, as a parent prespective. The park lacks general maintenance on a safety level for the children playing there. Yes the plants, flowers, and sec cam is all good and well. But the swings, boards, slides, and tires. All either have loose or missing screws, torn, exposed steel wire, or rotton from weather or termite. Not the whole structure. But enough that's noticable . In a word, poor maintenance and repair. Park and kids playground is nice but wanted to leave the 3 stars to catch the readers attention. It is summer time so the wasps are out and building their nests at the crevices and nooks of the playground. Please perform a thorough walk-through everywhere your kids maybe playing or going under. I’m saying this cause my kid walked right by an active wasp nest which made me started looking and proactively exterminated several live nests that I spotted. I would hope the grounds keeper of the park would be aware of this issue and perform a daily inspection to ensure the kids are safe since some kids are allergic...
