Vettiner Dog Park (Members Only) — Attraction in Louisville

In December of 2024 several members reported aggressive dogs and their behaviors. After this a meeting was held where the “big dog clique” bullied other members directly in front of our non supportive president. Don’t go to this park after 5 pm for your dogs safety. Just in the last month I have had friends tell me of their dogs being chased down outside of the gates by an unleashed dog, at least 4 and my dog was victim to this once. Just yesterday several dogs rushed after one dog. The owners don’t care and always respond with… “they haven’t hurt anyone”. As for the president, he needs to be replaced. You need a code to open the gate, and the 5 men that were there didn't open it. My dog was sad! I read online that out of Towner's were aloud to visit and let there dogs play. They requested that you email before you get to town, and then email after visiting the park. We visited a lot of Louisville's parks but this was my dogs favorite place when we lived up there in KY. She would head straight for the trail as soon as we got there.
