I absolutely love this park. I just discovered it and checked it out for the first time. It does have a cute little playground for little ones to play on if that's what you want. But it also has the coolest pedestrian bridge to walk across. It goes across the water you have little sister Island and big sister Island there, it has benches to sit on on the bridge if you would like to. The views are very very pretty. There are paths you can take a walk on and they're full of foliage and flowers and trees. When we were there it was rather quiet and we only saw a few people. It was very peaceful. On our way out there were a lot more people coming in but it was still incredibly pleasant. Lots of people were out there walking their dogs. They have several signs along the walking paths that give you great history of the area. As the Fall colors come in we will definitely be going there...

A very versatile park. Has wide open outdoor areas able to accommodate many different sports. There is also a boat launch and very nice smooth paved walking trails that loop around the park through open areas and beautiful woodlands. There is also an underrated wooden framed pedestrian bridge that is very large scale and breathtaking that crosses the Grand River. Just the bridge itself may make it worth the visit or a great photo opportunity. It has many different things for many people to participate anyone from dog walkers to athletes and...

Nice park. I usually just walk the trail which is very easy with benches along the trail. There are two playgrounds, soccer field, volleyball courts, pickle ball, disc golf and more. My granddaughter loves walking on the wooden bridge. There is usually a nice sunset views from the bridge. If you visit on the right time of the year you can watch the moon rise on the river. In the summer there is an ice-cream store with of course ice-cream but they also have...

I spend a lot of time on this section of the river, the float from Ionia to Saranac is a little longer than most people can take, so if your going to paddle or fish this section of the river, it might be best to start at Riverside park and go down. If you run Ionia to Saranac you won't be able to stand up after the trip.
