Impact: A Wesleyan Church — Attraction in Lowell Charter Township

Impact has changed so much Sadly I can no longer attend. I'm so thankful and grateful for the messages or sermons that are free to watch anytime on line. The pastor is great and does help understand hpw to live my life as God has intended. Etc However I will say it is not only 1 or 2 or 3 people it feels like policy that if you are an outsider and new if you don't meet qualifications your not welcome. I've seen and felt that 1st hand and I do not say those words lightly. Several things have happeed in my own experiences that I can say that I'm certain that many people if not all the members feel that way . I do not believe that is policy however I think the people on the outside representing this church Appear to have an agenda of their own. (only certain people are invited) I wish it was the same loving people and the same feel that it was back in the other church that actually did say church on the outside of the building. The new impact does not tell you in any way its a church. That is also however been made to feel . I brought a friend who was very low in her life so she finally agreed to come see my great church for herself. We were 10 min late and not allowed back to allow the children into their classes. I was told that is not allowed if your past 10 min late. It would interrupt the class. I LITERALLY asked that lady if We were in a church h. Herr reply waa coldly This is a church but if your more then 10 min late you can't go back past her line. ( she signed in the chikdren) I asked her if we were in church she coldly said without even looking at either of us. " yes it. Is Next time try to be on time and she walked away. I was devastated myself I can't even imagine how my friend felt but I can only pray that is not the last time she'll step foot into any church. What she needed was a warm welcome and some of God's love and care that's why we were there to be in church. We left with our children wondering what happend..I could not give a good answer. I contacted church so upset hoping for any explanation. I didn't even get a call back. That is not the only experince with that same cold alone very unwelcomed feeling . Maybe I'm too sensitive but . The 1 place I've always felt like I was ok was in church. It was so...

I was so happy before the church moved. It was " my church" I was at home there and left feeling ready for the new week with enthusiasm etc. Church moved. Slowly Everything changed (except pastor Jason) I still learn greatly from his messages .The problem is I have to get thru the church to get to the message. I've had the most negative experiences from entering to being told my kids were not allowed to go to clas because we were 10 minutes late. Which I'll never recover from because my kids were hurt and embarrassed and haven't wanted to go back since. Being scolded by a counselor for not ( joining) enough fellowship with the church so I wasn't able to simply ask to be on a prayer list. Since things started to change were not there very often however anytime we've gone back not once were we Ever acknowledged or greeted or guided to classes for the kids didn't even get help finding the check in station it was full we couldn't see it. I observe ( greeters) each time I've been there Appears they only greet the regular members etc. I Just finally accepted maybe either I'm not welcomed or maybe just new people aren't really encouraged. I just wish it was like it used to be so much. It is a very nice building with great music and a great pastor. Just not for my family I guess. I very much appreciate the messages...

I have been attending this church since April of 2015 and have sincerely loved how I have been accepted into the church family. I have made many new friends here and love how they have many different opportunities for you to get involved no matter what your busy schedule may be. The pastor Jason preaches with conviction and passion and always sprinkles in a little humor as well. They have an awesome kids program as well for kids up to age 12 I think. If you are looking for a contemporary church that isn't afraid to open the Bible and meet you where ever you are at in life, give Impact a try. They have services on Saturday night at 6 and Sunday's at 930am and 1115am. You have nothing to lose and...
