This is a great place for a nice walk with your dog. Their are other people that walk their dogs as well. Be careful of some dog owners whom walk their dogs off leash. So, if your a bit uneasy just be prepared for that. Also, there is a house that has two brown dogs that are a bit vocal when they are in the yard and the run back and forth if you happen to walk your dog by it. They seem harmless, however, I am just a bit apprehensive because I do not know if they can jump over the fence. It's one of the only areas of Lowell where you can actually "climb" a hill, although with all the trees in summer you won't get much of a view ;) You can catch glimpses of the mountains of New Hampshire if yoou're lucky though. The park is about 35 acres, 22 of which are wooded, meaning unkept. There are some awesome old gnarly trees growing in there, and lots of birch and maple I think. It's a great palce to get away from "the city" and be in nature for awhile. I didn't see any facilities like playgrounds or bathrooms, so if you bring kids, make 'em pee ahead of time, and bring some toys...
