Lowell Cemetery is a stunningly beautiful and peaceful place. It's one of the USA's first examples of a garden style cemetery and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Many locally and nationally famous people are buried among the rolling hills and twisting streets/paths. There are guided tours given occasionally. Highly recommended.

Enjoyable stroll to admire the historical gardens, monuments and various plots. A peaceful sanctuary. I was most moved by the angel embracing the stone monument. Very emotional viewing the angel in grief statue

Not a place you ever want to have to go to but if you do end up in a position where you need burial services this is the place to go!!

Lowell Cemetery is a cemetery located in Lowell, Massachusetts. Founded in 1841 and located on the banks of the Concord River, the cemetery is one of the oldest garden cemeteries in the nation, inspired by Mount Auburn Cemetery in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
