Bala Cynwyd Park is a perfect park to bring the kids to, have a picnic in or just for go for a stroll. Situated across from West Laurel Hill Cemetery and along the Bala Cynwyd (pronounced Sin-wood) Heritage Trail with a small parking lot, the park offers a great starting place for a day of local exploration and/or exercise. The park is always spotless (and hemmed in by multi-million dollar mainline homes), has a great playground and basketball, tennis and baseball fields along with seasonal bathrooms and a port-o-potty during the winter. Our kids always love coming here and we enjoy the Ireland-esque architecture and landscaping. Simply beautiful.

This is the park where we visit most of the times. Got slides and swings for toddlers, boys and girls. A big ground and most of the times baseball is played but I have seen soccer too. There is a rocky area on one of the sides which is good for photography. This park gives you access to Cynwyd Heritage Trail which streches from Cynwyd to Manyunk. This trail has both gravel and asphalt. Good that you have choices. Many people run on gravel which is soft on knees.

Cute little steam excellent for some nature pics. Always a cool steam to cool your feet off in the summer. Baseball and softball fields in the spring and soccer un the fall. Also a nicely shaded playground. On the outside if the fence is an access way to the Cynwyd trail. Only about a mile towards Montgomery Avenue you'll hit a nice lil cafe Trails End, bathrooms are available to the public. Septa route ends here. I can't recall the line.
