I initially thought Platform Z was a bit of a strange name for a poke place, but once arriving it was immediately obvious that the name was due to the fact that this place is inside of a cute little train station!
The service here was absolutely outstanding. The staff who were present the night we went for date night were very kind, patient, and eager to help with menial tasks like even giving us a bag as we were walking out the door. The kitchen area itself was very clean and all of the food was fresh. The lighting in the restaurant itself was a little bit lacking in terms of atmosphere, but I don’t really fault this place for not having absolutely perfect feng shui.
The food here was really good! The portion sizes on the poke bowls are honestly massive, easily enough for 3 meals. The boba in the boba tea was a little undercooked, but nothing to complain about. The miso soup here specifically was easily the standout out of everything we ordered, I don’t think I’ve had miso soup that good in months.

Read moreI’d give it a 4.5/5 stars. My husband and I tried this place and were overall happy with it. We were both satisfied with our food (poke bowl and pork ramen), but were quite disappointed by our drinks. We ordered the crème brûlée oreo with 30% sugar: the 30% sugar was probably too low (we don’t like things that are too sweet, but here, we could barely taste the sweetness) and there was no milk in it either. But we were probably biased by our own experience with such bubble teas at other places where it was made with milk tea (as opposed to regular tea) and tasted (much) better. So, I took out 1 star for the food for that reason. Otherwise, the service & atmosphere were great. We would be happy to come back to try out other items...
Read moreDue to high rating, we went in to have some beloved sushi and ramen. The lady is nice and bubbly, but they serve your sushi with plastic containers. I don't mind plastic containers, but the sushi we ordered was horrible. Thick overcooked rice wrap, thinly cut, everything was falling apart. No taste, no presentation, no flavor, no service. The lady apologized, but her husband slammed the door right at her feet while she was trying to apologize. So if someone like me looking for sushi would go in there, they should know what they will get. Raw avaocado, lots of sushi overcooked rice, and a big apology. Ramen - horrible.. Overcooked or maybe left over for 2 days or so.. I would never recommend this place. It has so much...
