Attended a 5 year olds birthday party at Jump in Lynchburg. Not being familiar with the area, Jump was a tad difficult to locate, and it was hard to turn around in traffic when the final turn was missed. Better signage at the final turn would help! I understood the admission process for those using the trampolines, but several guests were very confused by the little direction and attention given to non paying guests. There was no signage or available personnel to explain the process except to say "scan your phone at the end of the counter." It was also not explained that guests needed to have hand stamps, so initial entrance into the facility was not welcoming and was very confusing during the entrance rush. Once everyone was checked in, the visit went smoother. The children enjoyed the trampoline activities, and I can now see why even guests have to sign liability waivers. There were NO employees noted in the active trampoline area the entire time of my visit. Maybe activity monitoring is not an employee duty. I understand the need for parents/ guardians to supervise their own children, but no monitoring of the overall activity area was noted. The facility was not exceedingly busy, which I think was the saving grace that no one was hurt. In the birthday party room, an employee was noted, and they were helpful in getting things set up and cleaned up. Overall, the children in attendance had a good time. Initial confusion and no general activity monitoring caused anxiety and marred the...
Read moreHas my son’s 11th birthday party here and it simply just wasn’t worth $500. They were overwhelmed with parties that day it seemed and multiple mistakes happened. I’m understanding and it would’ve been fine except our hostess kept asking if we could basically leave 10 or 15 minutes early so she could set up for the next party. Later when she comes in to clean up, she was a little frustrated looking and not friendly at the point. I honestly didn’t care about the drink mixup or even the fact the icecream was forgotten but when my son didn’t want to leave without the balloons, she aggressively uses her keys to rip them off… which, is also nice she finally helped us but she wasn’t going to help at all and for a few min we were trying to get them off without scissors. Once she finally came over, she yanked them and handed them to me very impatiently & aggressively. I understand she was probably having a tough day and I feel for her, but $500 was a lot of money for me to spend… ultimately with my son having just a subpar party. It really just wasn’t a good experience and I’d never go again. On top of this, I tried to email them feedback and I’m pretty sure they just ignored the emails… I asked how I could share feedback about my experience. Since they never responded to me, here I am on google review… do better, get air! Or, don’t… but don’t charge an arm & a leg for a...
Read moreJump is now under new ownership. This is the second time I have tried it since then and it continues to be poorly ran. There are no adults watching the children, you have to go to the front lobby to get someone- and today I was told it’s 1 adult per 30 something children. That adult is running the front, not managing the children. It is constant bullying since there are NO employees overseeing the children, only the parents who are there and present and watch over their children. Today bullying occurred in the dodge ball area. I as well as another parent removed our children and went to get an employee, who was at the front. The employee did come out and spoke to the children, who told a fib. Instead of listening to the parent, the employee went back and forth as to what the other child had said. Which was not true as the adults overseeing the dodge ball area, were me, and another adult. I eventually told the employee, watch the cameras. The employee did say there was another adult working however that person was busy somewhere with the other children running the summer camp. All in all the children aren’t being watched what so ever. I will not be going back, and would caution parents to keep a good eye on...
