If there was a way to give a negative * count I would. This trip is the worst I have ever experienced at any hotel, and I have travelled the world. First Expedia messed up the reservations (separate issue). When I called the front desk at the motel (address the Expedia issue), no one answered the phone (numerous different occasions). I had to call the main Wyndham booking agent and tell the to get someone to answer the phone at the front desk of the motel on more that one occasion. Keys kept going dead, had to have them remade 3 times, the front desk blamed it on my car key and cell phone in my other pocket. I was to have adjoining rooms and one was to be handicapped assessable all on the first floor. The rooms were on the first (elevator was inoperative), but "on opposite wings of the building". Going from one room to the other you had to walk past open storage rooms full of trash, cleaning supplies, laundry etc. Not aesthetically pleasing to look at nor smell. The room that was to be for my mother-in-law's was not handicapped accessible, very shabby, the bedding had not been changed (wife found and ear ring in the bed). The fire alarm was non existent (really not there), when inquiring about the alarm, we were told they could do nothing. There was no chairs in the room and when asked about it we were told there are none. It appeared the front desk was a play location for children, several of them. I believe they may have been the managers children. When showing a little displeasure about the room(s) situation the manager Heather Moore said not to be rude to her employees. Yes the manage chastised a customer for a legitimate complaint. "REALLY!!!" The second room (I have photos) Once I got settled I realized it was also not well maintained. Stained bed linen, desk tops not cleaned, no signs of vacuuming. No coffee in the room, no ice bucket (Yes I am being picky now). I then had to get something from the car and the person working the front desk was standing in the middle of the doorway (yes front entrance) smoking cigarettes' (it was not cold out either) next to a big sign this says this building is a no smoking facility in all public spaces and most rooms. And there is more, I don't even want to begin about the other service's (Free breakfast) that "were deplorable"!!! I think you get a clear enough picture. Reservations were very very short fuse, because my mother-in-law's brother was in hospice and she needed to see him. After calling my usual place (Holiday Inn) and others the Super 8 was the only place that had the rooms I needed (according to Expedia).

Read moreAs one might expect from any product labeled 'super', this motel failed miserably. There were new covid 'protections' in place. Plexiglass partitions at the counter for check in but the desk clerk handled both my id and credit card even though there was a credit card reader on the desk on my side. Having stayed at many of these properties, I was familiar with the 'basic' comforts that are associated with the properties. Microwave, mini fridge and a single cup coffee maker -the room appeared passable. The bed clothes were very tired and beyond well used. Included with my room key card was a single use alcohol wipe. Not sure what that was intended to provide other than a very minor feeling of an 'extra protection'. I carried with me a bottle of hand sanitizer and used it with paper towels I carried to wipe down the desk, tv remote, bathroom counter and the lamp control, door handle, light switch and fridge door. The walls are very thin in these motels and you can often hear the tv in an adjoining room. Same here. My room was at the end of the hall and near the stairwell. Uncaring and likely unaware patrons traversed the steps well in to the early morning hours with loud and often thunderous. The evening stay was just basic. No comforter or extra blankets were provided and the heat/AC was working. The carpet was old and did not appear very clean. Choosing to wear my socks while in this room seemed to be the prudent choice. The morning offered new surprises, however. I had picked up a couple of things at the store before checking in and as I moved the bags on the desk counter - bugs appeared. I only saw three and I hadn't put my glasses on yet - I can't honestly say what type they were. Each was 1/2 inch or so long. I have always heard that for every one you see - there are far more you don't. The bathroom offered more issues. The tub/shower was heavily stained. Towels were very worn as were the wash cloths. When I closed the bathroom door to avail myself of he wall hook for my shaving kit. There was blood on the wall about 2.5 feet off the floor. When I went to check out, I shared these issues with the two ladies working the desk. One was on her way out the door and said nothing. The other lady apologized once. She did not offer any explanation but didn't seem terribly surprised. She also offered no type of solution or compensation. I would have expected at least some type of discount or perhaps Wyndham points but again, neither was offered. If you choose to stay here, just understand - it's basic accommodation. With possibly other surprises. And no solutions if you present...
Read moreThis is being very generous!! This was the most nastiest, dirtiest, grossest hotel I have ever seen. I booked it for family weekend at Liberty and this was my only option for everything else was booked. They charged $340 for 2 nights!! After seeing the room I didn’t even stay I demanded my money back!! It was dirty outside, trash was all over the parking lot, outside trash cans were overflowing, in desperate need of some landscaping. I was trying to keep an open mind, so we went to check in and no one was to be found. I had to walk around for 10 minutes to find the front desk lady. The hallways look like they hadn’t been vacuumed in days and the floors were sticky (see pictures). Got to our room it smelled so bad. The floors hadn’t been vacuumed. The one bed was sitting on the floor!! The bathroom door was broke (it would not shut all the way and then it would get stuck when trying to open it). There was used tissues in the floor, food crumbs all over the floor, and trash behind the tv stand. You could tell they didn’t clean because someone’s phone charger was still plugged into the wall outlet. The fridge was dirty and sticky, which it didn’t work anyway (the door wouldn’t shut and it wasn’t even cold). The windows were so cloudy and smoky that it was a haze over it. The bathroom floor was sticky with hair and dirt on the floor and in the tub. The sink and tub was all stained up. And the frame around the sink wasn’t even finished. The tv didn’t work. I went to complain and the manager on duty walked up to the room and I said something about the balls of dirt in the hallway and she said “are you complaining about the hallway or your room”. We got to the room and we told her about the floors and her reply to that was “I’m sorry the maids must have not vacuumed”. Really?? So she could fix the tv so she gave us another room a few doors down. It was smaller and was missing the room number sign. Went in it was just as dirty. Both rooms also had burn holes in the blankets and stains on the sheets. But no lie there was a used condom between the bed and the night stand. We grabbed our stuff and I demanded a refund. I would rather sleep in my car, a park bench would have even been cleaner and safer. Would not recommend this place to anyone!!!! Please don’t...
